I got out material for this last summer (oak stair tread off cuts), and just got back to it.

Not a lot of detail out there, particularly how the halves are fastened. Inside relief cut with multiple passes on table saw, wedge angle and wedge cut with same
table saw blade angle setting. Initial shaping with power plane.

Test saw blade sharpening cuts fast and true, but cut surface could be smoother.
