Wood groove cutter in the US

I was just watching a cool Japanese carpentry video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoHXEprhgM4) and he uses a "groove cutter" (9 minute mark ish) which looks like a circular saw housing that uses a shaper esque cutter instead of a blade.

Googling around doesn't bring about a bunch of results. Is this something that is sold to the US?

Haven't seen it, but I've been successfully running a couple of Japanese power tools with a step-down voltage converter (~$150)

& that opens up lots of Ebay options.

Yikes! For that price one could go the Ebay route and have enough money left over to buy a new Sawstop or something.

I have a couple Skil worm drive saws that have room for 2 blades on the arbor that will cut 1/4" grooves.
