We have quite a few pointer trees around. They are lovely and spooky. I watched some random thing on the web (because Captain Kirk is the host) The Crooked Forrest.

My father grew up in Montana on a ranch by the Yellowstone river. When I was about ten, we took a trip from Kansas to visit Yellowstone park and we spent a day exploring the ranch. There was a tree by the river that grew out over the water. My dads grandfather used to sit on that tree and the river was his outhouse. They called it “Grandpa’s Throne.”
