After a failed venture in to bent lamination for the legs, I'm finally finishing up my midcentury bench using straight legs instead. I've mounted these legs using top plates (similar to https://smile.amazon.com/Anwenk-Leg-Mounting-Attachment-Industrial/dp/B01HTWQFKA) and they work great.
The only issue I have is that the bolt seems tighter in the top plate than in the nut inside the leg. Thus, when I unscrew the leg, the bolt unscrews from the leg and remains with the top. I'd prefer to have the bolt permanently mounted in the leg.
How does one usually fasten the bolt inside the leg?
