My friend Brady Watson has recently scanned a Philly's baseball cap (https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:ugcPost:6994324481498349568/?midToken=AQE3Af3K__b7HA&midSig=3RzjbY4PMmaqw1&trk=eml-email_network_conversations_01-hero-1-check_update_cta&trkEmail=eml-email_network_conversations_01-hero-1-check_update_cta-null-332lm6%7Ela7gfwzv%7Epx-null-neptune%2Ffeed%2Eupdate) that is pretty cool. There is no telling what Brady is doing at any point in time but it's usually interesting :)

What you see is real 3D mesh geometry with a photographic texture, captured simultaneously. In addition to high resolution 3D laser scanning

IBILD provides digital and physical services and product solutions that support customers in all aspects of digital manufacturing. IBILD is a full-service job shop specializing in exotic materials (carbon fiber etc.) and sophisticated 3D part production. (3D reliefs, sculptures etc.)

The company supports the customer through all phases of their project including, digitizing and analysis of existing parts, manufacturing methodology, remote or on-site training, consultation and technical support.

We excel at preserving an artist’s original design intent on sculptural, freeform and textured models. This expertise is devoid in most engineering-type scanning contractors. IBILD’s unique hardware and scanning processes produce successful, quality results on difficult parts where others have given up.

Brady pioneered several vacuum fixture methods and systems, including the BradyVac and BradyVac II line of fixtures and VacuumFilm Technique, in addition to low-cost vacuum generators for part hold down on CNC routers.

We designed, built, and delivered two 3D laser scanners to the cabinet shop that outfits, repairs, and maintains Air Force One and US Senator’s Gulfstream aircraft interior appointments at Andrews AFB. In conjunction with their CNC router, the shop reduced costly downtime by manufacturing reproduction parts in house, using IBILD 3D scanning technology.
