How come I can't upload pictures?

Trying to upload a couple of pictures. Here's the story...

I click on "manage attachments"; the manage attachments window opens; I click on "browse" and choose the location of my picture on my hard drive; click "open"; then click "upload"; after a brief pause I get the message "The page cannot be displayed" in the manage attachments window.

What am I doning wrong? Thanks.

I'm new to this site but I have found it easiest to upload pictures to forums with:

www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com)

and then copy their link with the " [img] " text in from and back.

just resize `em so they`re small enough.......02 tod

If the pictures are to big it will tell you so. I have had it not connect & display the page too & just had to wait till later & try again.

Got them to work this time. Pics were too big. I thought I had resized them but apparently not! Thanks!!
