Here's a new bowl from a piece of Black Limba. Really nice to turn, about the same texture as Walnut. Kind of stinky, I thought, but worth it.

When I got it turned, I found it had a really unique pattern inside.

Adam, you have posted an attractive bowl with a pleasing design. I think the form will be well accepted by anyone viewing it. The rolled lip is a plus to the whole on this piece. This lip seems so natural on it. The wood speaks and I listen with my eyes and they heard beauty. What type of finish did you use?

I like that a lot, Adam. Carrying the rim form to the base is a nice touch...it really looks unified. Beautiful form...and very nice material. Bravo!

Thanks everybody for the kind words.

On the finish, it's got two coats of a 1:1 mixture of BLO and Polyurethane.

One more coat, and then I'll put it through the Beall buff system next week.
