I need a good inspection light when finishing. I have rigged up various lights for raking light during my finishing and they all don't give me what I want. I see Festool has an inspection light with tripod for $550! I was surprised at the price. But does it do the job, especially when I am finishing a 6 foot table top? Any more economical competitors? Thoughts?

Harbor fright had something in the paint department for color match lighting. i assume it did not cost too much.

Or amazon has it under a different name for twice the price.

We use the Festool Light on all of our table tops and counter tops. We have used it on pieces up to 14 feet in length. We have used it with and without the tripod. The light gives the perfect narrow flat raking light. The Festool light will show you any imperfections in your surface. When you get the surface of your piece where you are happy with it with Festool's light it is truly ready.
