Hi Everyone,

After some successful advice from everyone here on the creek, I recently picked up a beautiful new jointer. Now I'm back for some advice on a bandsaw. I've come across a Laguna 3000 series 14 inch bandsaw on facebook marketplace for $800. The seller is willing to take $700, but I haven't been able to find too much comparable data out there on how much this saw has been selling for recently. It feel like a good deal.

Any thoughts? I have attached some pictures of the bandsaw. It appears to have very very little use and has spend most of its time in a garage sitting idle.

Best,
John

For 700 bucks - you buy it right now and ask your questions later.

I’m going to be honest, I’ve never actually seen a welded steel framed bandsaw in person before. It’s absolutely beautiful, and looked barely used. I can’t wait to put it to use this weekend!

We used to have a saying for people like you but it's no longer politically correct so....... Post photos of it in your shop once you get it set up please.

@Ronald: I may be a generation or two off from you, since I don’t have a guess at what you’re trying to say... that aside, I’ll definitely be posting some pictures of the new jointer and bandsaw once everything is cleaned up and re arranged in the shop!

I bought the 18" version maybe 15 years ago. Very solid saw. No issues. I did replace the guides. Did not care for the ceramic ones.

Some felt it to be offensive so I will leave it at that. It was meant in admiration and to say you did great. It's not been that many years ago but times change and we often don't like the change but all you can do is move forward. Look forward to the photos.
