After 3 months of fiddling with buying a house and moving and all that goes with it, I was finally able to do a bit of turning today.

What's the wood and dimensions?

the wood is chechen.
it stands about 6" tall and 2 1/4 " diameter

That's why I like everything on one forum. I get to see Jeff's round work and Todd's flat work on the same forum, without jumping around.
