For a Bosch GCM12SD miter saw, what are you using for a quick release holddown ? The factory threaded one is so-so, IMHO.
Kapex has a better design, but the keyed holddown lock is a very different design, not compatible.

thanks, Rich M.

Subscribed; have wondered the same thing - could really use a quick release hold down here!

Here (https://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?254690-Bosch-GCM12SD-12-quot-Glide-Miter-Saw-Using-A-Festool-494391-Kapex-Hold-Down-Clamp) is an old thread I found but didn't seem like a perfect solution (using Festool Kapex clamp).

Josh - yeah, I saw that one as well, thanks. Next step I guess is to do some research on the machinist tool sites and find some general purpose holddowns......

I have a Dewalt miter saw, but I bought the Festool quick clamp hold down. It was expensive, but it is so much better than the screw types. I use it on almost every cut now, whereas I hardly ever used my Dewalt clamps due to how long it took to adjust them.
