Guidelines for humidity levels when applying outdoor oil based stains?

It's currently 90 degrees and humidity is 80. The project is in the garage, so it will not get rained on.

I'm planning to wait, as rain is due tomorrow and the next day. But for my future reference, how high is too high?

40% to 70% is the official recommendation.

Good luck with that.

Here in N.E. Ohio, you can usually get by with humidity in the 80 to 90% range - since that what we get here from mid April through October.
