I got my Incra 1000SE miter gauge Friday and spent some time today tuning up my table saw and getting it adjusted. The only tuning I had to do to the miter gauge was to square the fence to the table by shimming where the aluminum fence meets the steel bracket using some card stock and to adjust the bar to fit my miter slot. After that, my first 90 cut was square and my first 45 degree cuts matched up to make a perfect 90. Needless to say I'm very happy!

Matt,
It works better to shim between the steel bracket & the head.

Nice score Matt. Glad to here you've got it dialed in.

Just curious, what made you choose the Incra over the Osbourne EB-3? I'm considering either of these two.

You will love this unit, I'va had mine a few years and having tried some of the newer ones on the market, I would take the Incra over them all. Congrad's!!

I got this one because I read a ton of posts by people who had an Incra and had only minor complaints, if any.

I got one a few months ago and have been very happy with it too.

Great score Matt!!

I have the 1000SE also and have loved using it since I got it.

I know you will enjoy it for years to come.

Matt,
It works better to shim between the steel bracket & the head.

That makes sense, as it the shims wouldn't be affected by moving the aluminum fence. I think I'll leave it for now though, since its set up.
