There I was looking through the L-N catalog and when I reached the saw section I became a little confused. Can anybody tell me what the difference is between the carcass saws and the tenon saws other than size and maybe capacity?

Hi Michael, you note the difference with the additional issue of blade thickness.

The tenon saws are made from much thicker steel [.020 for the carcass saws vs .032 for the tenon saws]. This needs to be so the saw plate doesn't flex on the larger saws as they are called upon to make deeper and longer cuts.

Very good saws.

Take care, Mike
