Bridgewood mortiser parts

Anyone have an idea where I might be able to source a replacement spring for a Bridgewood 12-B Hollow Chisel Mortiser. Pretty sure Wilke machinery is no longer in business.

I would see if grizzly sells one. You can always have one made if you know the dimensions. Is it. a clock spring or a compression spring.

There are lots of comapnies that make a wide variety of stock springs and you may find one that wiil work. I've ordered from

If it is a clock spring the end can be bent and a hole punched. Draw temper if needed before working on the end.

I agree with Bill. Springs like that almost always fail at the end where they are bent to go around a pin or whatever they are using. Reforming the end is pretty easy and worth a shot. Even if you ultimately find a replacement spring. Do you have a photo of the spring?
