What's the deal with Amazon?

I found a website where I can sign up for a $500 Amazon Gift Certificate. Have any of you guys done this? I keep looking for the trick or the scam. I have always figured that "If it seems to good to be true than it is". Any advice would be great.

Unless it's at the real Amazon.com...be very wary of such "offers"...nobody gives away $500 without either conditions or with nefarious intent.

This isn't amazon's site. What it is, is you apply, then spend 20 minutes looking through offers, which you have to take several of the offers, and pay for the offers.
So it's really a rip-off
They get your email, send you a zillion spam messages, etc.

if you do use a fake email..its a spam trap and oddles of junk mail. I sign my dog up for one like it and he received the USA today and a bill..I never got teh free product since I did not do any of the thigns it requited of me.
