View Full Version : alternate dust hood for Bosch oscillating tool?

I've been using a Bosch Model GOP40-30B to sand our Loewen window sashes in a basement shop. I applied tung oil in 2005 when we first moved in, but it's long outdue for a re-finish.

This summer, the window frame also need refinishing, but I don't want all the dust entering the house.

I found that Bosch's OSC 005 "dust extraction kit" is not available.

Has anyone tried a Makita or Milwaukee dust extractor unit to fit?

(BTW, I've applied water-based General Finishes' HP Topcoat and it's really nice to apply. Also- none of our Loewen window seals have failed).

osc005 is just backordered until the end of the month/early july.


If I were doing window frames, I'd be looking at this with an assortment of foam abrasives to deal with the profiles and contours:
