I'm so sorry to hear about Golda. I had to put Skipper down a few months ago - he was 18. It's hard but there's no cure for old age. Remember that you did your best to give her a good life - that's all we can do.

Sorry for your loss. They become such a part of your daily routines that they are like family. They are such devoted animals to us.

I'm sorry for your loss, Paul. Our dogs are not just pets - they are our kids. I hope that they will be with us for a long time, but I will remember and cherish the time I do have with them.

Sorry for your loss. Dogs are wonderful and we are fortunate that they love us, take some comfort in the fact that you were able to share some time together.

So very sad for your loss, Paul. Always a hard thing. But there will always be the good memories for sure...

That is a great portrait shot of a dog who clearly liked to entertain. A real eccentric too. I hope you have lots of pictures.

I'm so sorry to hear this.
I told my wife, "No more dogs". I can't take saying good bye to them anymore
I've got one foot in the grave & one on a banana peel so she can get one when I check out if it's after the three we have now.

Sorry for your loss, Paul. As a dog lover I have felt your pain.

Someone posted this earlier on SMC (I think). I felt it was very succinct.

“Dogs, lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you're going to lose a dog, and there's going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can't support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion. There's such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price. Maybe loving dogs is a way we do penance for all the other illusions we allow ourselves and the mistakes we make because of those illusions.”

Very sorry to hear that Paul.

Dogs become such a part of our lives, and leave such holes when they leave………..Regards, Rod
