Did Sawstop ever make a 1.75HP PCS with 48 inch rails?

There's one for sail within an hour driving distance for $2400. I looked on the website and they don't list 48 inch rails. Could this be a cut down set or maybe a 36 inch rail that was measured wrong?

I don’t think they did. But if you moved the 36” rails further to the right, you could get 48” to the right of the blade by sacrificing the ability to put the fence to the left of the blade. Someone may have done that.

30, 36 and 52 were the options available. My guess maybe the guy bought 52 and cut down.

If we’re starting a pool, I’m guessing the seller is adding 36” to the right plus 12” to the left for a total of 48”. Just a guess.

That's my thought too.

I didn't go out the shop and measure but the rails are probably about 48 inches long. The 36 refers to the rip capacity to the right with the rail in it's normal position. It is not the total length of the rail. Unusual way to refer to it but 48 is probably about right for the total length of the rail on a 36 inch capacity saw.

52" rails are available for all pcs models. I would think a rail that is 48" has been modified.

I just happened to be in the shop. My 52" Saw Stop front tube is 85-1/4".

My PCS 1.75hp 36” T-Glide has 68.25” total length rails on it.

If it is rip capacity +~32 inches to get rail length, that suggests 48 inch rails give you 16 inches rip capacity. That doesn't make sense. So the 48 inch rail reference seems to be a guess or otherwise incorrect. Possibly the 52 inch rails since that would be close to 48.

36” rails with the left extension removed gives you an approximate 48” rip capacity. This saw was damaged and the left side table was not serviceable. The rails came from my PCS that I had upgraded to 52”
