In today's mail received a package from a large financial brokerage. It congratulated me for being one of the more wealthy Americans, due to hard work, investments, and savings. Can't figure what triggered this, unless it was a recent net worth statement for our bank. On paper we are a lot richer than we actually are, but can I borrow a buck to get a cup of coffee?

A lot of folks would buy you a cup if you introduced them to this mythical place that sells a cup for a buck.

Just be careful, there are a lot of scams around. Some of them are pretty convincing... -Howard

I agree with both Jim and Howard.

A cup of coffee for a buck? Most likely a scam... are you sure it is real coffee? Is the coffee hut situated REALLY close to a big mud puddle? ...I have been burned by that scam before.

Wait a minute. I thought a cup of Joe was a dime.

For a buck, I can get a Tequila and lime.

Am I living in another time?

Me and an old pal of mine.

Mickey D's. Can't vouch for quality, as I don't drink coffee.
