When it's actually a book matched glue up. Client wanted a slab from this black oak that was wider and flatter than the raw material would produce.

Great job on the jointing and matching of the grain. It took me a bit to just find the joint.

That's a pretty darn impressive bookmatch that really lent itself to make the joint "invisible" for sure! Nice work!

The key is to make sure the edges were actually touching inside the tree. I straight line one board then stack them with the live edges lined up to mark my line on the second board.
