I need tires for a 32" band saw.

Carter have a ready-made tire that they recommend gluing on with epoxy. $51.

York Saw have rubber tires for $69, plus $30 for the glue - Scotch Weld Industrial Adhesive.

Sawblade dot com has 32" rubber tires for $35, they don't mention glue.

And I bet there are more vendors. So who's tires are worth buying? Who has a good reputation?

The old tires on this machine were strips of rubber that were cut to length and glued on.
Is this cut-to-lenght rubber regarded as being better or worse than ready-made tires?

I'm sure there are questions I don't even know to ask. All advice welcome.
Thank you, Mark

Is it not worth dressing them, I guess they are pretty thick.
Eager to see what Erik has to say about these being vulcanized or not.

I got the impression my wheels were, and there is a joint between?

Ether way I reckon worth doing if possible.

If nessecairy I wonder if there's any difference between hardness of whatever fancy epoxy compared to the fancy 3M rubber and gasket stuff...
Should something happen down the road and you need to patch a tire.

I just spoke with Woodworkers Tool Works in Chicago.
Are there any experience based opinions on their tires out there?

They also recommend using epoxy to attach the tires - is this just slow set epoxy, same as I use in woodworking?

WWTW is superb and I definitely recommend getting rubber tires and glue directly from them. I put one of their sets on my 14" Powermatic and will be calling them again soon for tires for my 20" Delta.
