For those of you in the neander forum who saw the really odd sharpening stone that I have no idea what it is, there was this chair.

So the shape of the chair just seems odd and I've never seen one like it.

But it doesn't look like it was just meant to be a regular chair to sit in, I've never seen anything like it and I'm not sure it looks all that comfortable so I assume it's a special purpose chair of some sort.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

How is the chair? Have you tried sitting in it in reverse is that better than forwards? It looks to me like you can sit facing the back.

I did not try sitting in the chair facing backwards, but there's a definite curve on the chair back.

It does look like the seed itself would be conducive to sitting backwards however.

If my memory is working there is a chair of that design in an old FWW magazine. My recollection is the designer was around horse shows and noticed how folks sat on the fence rails. His design was inspired by it.

One can only really tell if a chair is comfortable by sitting in it. Some do not look like they would have the comfort desired though they can be a surprise when given a try.

Looks like a spinning wheel or weavers chair.
