Found some scrap on the wood chips and ended up with this. It's 2 1/2 in long out of mystery wood picked out of a cutoff bin. I think I paid $2.00 for 2x2x48" Thanks for looking.

Nice idea David. I can't remember how many times I've wanted to do a simple countersink in a tight spot. Pretty cool!:)

Hey! Ernie said, "Functional", and the contest hasn't even started yet. Foul!

Nice piece David. Where did you get the countersink? And did it come prepped for mounting?

Andy, I've had it for years. It is made to be used with a drill. It just had a 1/4" by 1" shaft. I just drilled a hole before turning and epoxied it in. I think I got it at HD or somewhere like that. I like tools like this where they basically fit in a closed fist. The marking knifes I use are like this, basically no longer then my finger so when I use it it feels like an extension of my hand, just like a turning tool under your forearm.

Glad you all liked it.

What a neat idea David. I don't know how many times I just needed to clean out a hole and didn't want to get the drill out. Awesome. Nice work. It is amazing what you can do with scrapes sometimes.

Great idea, David,

I'm always looking for a way to hold the countersink and end up using my drill chuck for the tailstock - one of these will much handier! Thanks fo rsharing such a good idea with us.
