I have a chain saw sharpener from Harbor Freight. I've only used 3/8 inch pitch chains in the past on chain for a 16 and 20 inch bar (2 saws) and it's worked fine. I hand sharpen most of the time but once a year I'll put them on the machine and do it that way. I'm a light user only making my own firewood. Now however I've purchased a small battery operated Stihl saw (MSA 140 C-B) and that chain has a 1/4 inch pitch. I'm wondering if I can use the same wheel or would I need a smaller one? The specs. say the wheel on the saw is good for 3/8 and 1/4 pitch. Appreciate any help I can get, as you can tell I'm pretty much uninformed about this.

For what it's worth, I like the little saw however the oiler is non-stop with no adjustments I can find. It doesn't take long for the chain and sprocket to get gummed up with shavings, then the saw quits. I'm using the synthetic chain and lub oil recommended but am wondering about going to a regular bar chain oil. Wonder what you think about that?
