How much did that table saw cost, when if first came on the market ? Not talking the price adjusted for inflation, just the original sticker price. Anyone recall how much they first cost ?

I believe I paid roughly $800 in the mid-aughts, sold it a few years later for nearly the same price. This review from 2009 lists a price of $975. https://www.hingmy.com/site/article.php?Grizzly-G1023-Tablesaw-Review

Grizzly did two versions with the G1023 nameplate. I've not seen the original in person (would be the 1980' right tilt), but the pictures i've seen seem that i'd prefer the later left tilt version--in production by 2009, and still similar today. Wish i'd bought one in 2009!!

In 2000, I paid $1050 with the biesemeyer fence. That was delivered to a commercial dock.

I paid $783 for a 3HP Enlon saw in 1993 and purchased the Enlon because it was about $50 less than the Griz. I subsequently found out the saws are mostly identical.

Would that have been the newer version by that time--left tilt, ribbed belt, similar to the 690?? Just curious to know when they switched models.

I believe I purchased mine in 2000 and I had to choose between right and left tilt. They had both in stock at that time and were switching over.

$795. That was a really big deal.

Bureau of Labor Statistics inflation calculator shows that as $2,077 in todays dollars.
