I am not finding any history on this crosscut saw. Any help appreciated.

The Dec. 27, 1887 patent is often referred to as Glover's patent > https://www.datamp.org/patents/displayPatent.php?pn=375350&id=7397 < for the design of the saw nuts.

This patent date appeared on saws of many different makers:

474600

Saws with the Warranted Superior medallion were also made by various makers for retailers to have saws at a lower price than brand name saws.

Some joke they were made by the brothers Warren & Ted Superior.
