These are some photos of my shop. It is 20X24 with a storage loft overhead that is 9X24. I started building it 7 years ago and moved in before I had finished which made finishing the inside difficult. Also, it should be about twice the size. It was fine until I picked up some new to me real big equipment. Most things are on wheels and I can move them around to make space.

Great shop! Looks like a great place to escape to. I love your DeWally, too. Is it a GA?

The saw is a PM66 with a 50" Bies fence. At the end of the saw table is a Milwaukee 3 1/2 hp router and home made fence system. The two sanders are both JET, a 6X89 belt and a soft drum & flap wheel combo. The Dewalt RAS is new to me this winter. Just getting it set up. It will dedicated to dado work. The lathe in the corner is an old Delta Homecraft. It is in good condition, but needs a new stand. I picked up most of the things used, except the Jet 15" planer, the Delta 14" band saw, and the Dewalt slider.

The RAS is a GW 5, whatever that makes it. I have been unable to find out much information on it.

It looks like a good shop with a good set of tools. My shop is just about the same size, so I know just how important mobility is.

Very nice setup, Mr. James!!!:) A few quick questions: What flavor of horizontal sander is that and how do you like it? Also, I don't see a bandsaw in the arsenal. Any plans for one???? :) Regardles, that's a great work area! :)

There is a Delta 14" band saw by the door. The sander is a jet 6X89. It gets a lot of use. I really like it and it has plent of power. It is identical to the Powermatic model they are selling now. The drum sander is a Performax 25-2.

Great Shop, Glad you could post the pics!

tod: "hideous black box" looks like a microwave, maybe he's using it to check the moisture content of his wood :) or make popcorn.

That's a trick question, isn't it, Ed??? Trust me on this one: Not everybody's shop is neater than yours!!! There are, as a matter of fact, a few Creekers here who have seen mine in its normal state of being and I think they'd agree that "neat" would not be one of the adjectives used to describe it!:D

This was in this state of neatness because I had just finished putting in the insulation and between projects. The black box is in fact a microwave. I use it to dry small pieces of birch that I use to make stir fry spoons. The floor is 3/4" PT plywood over 2x8 pt joists 16"OC.

The lumps under the snow are board piles. I cut my own trees and have a band mill come in a do the sawing. For what he charges, I can't even think of getting my own mill. I do mostly oak and white pine. The piles are getting down and maybe this year I will do another batch. I like to keep at least 2000 bf on sticks all the time.

Will not comment, but suffice to say, I agree with what John said! :)

He hasn't ever seen mine trashed though, I think mine tops all when it is at it's worst! :)

It is not a carpet, but the old linoleum from the kitchen. It has a foam backing and provides some cushioning for my old tire feet. I heat with a 40,000 BTU Monitor kero heater.
