These are some boxes that I finished today. They are for my 3 grand daughters. They are small ones. They are only 7in by 4in by 3in high.

Charley those are great. They are going to love them. Ditto the question on the butterfly. How did you do it?

I cut each piece out with a scapel. I first cut the out line for the butterfly etc. then I cut out inside the wings, after all is done I inlay or make the cuttout in the top. Then I put them in a vacuum press for about an hour. I hand sand them all so that I don't go through the veneer.

Nifty boxes, Charlie. Here is the first picture after running it through PhotoShop. Now you can see the nice maple grain.
