First thin turning that didn't blow up in my face, Cherry goblet turned out of a partially dry pice of stock, Got it round, hollowed out the inside and finished it. Turned out all the shop lights parked a 150 watt hallagen light shining inside it and started on the outside. Just kept working at it till I could see light through it. Finised off the upper , shaped and finished the stem and the base
Walls on the cup ar .052 thick, weight in at 1/2 an ounce when I was done.
About the size of a regular wine glass.
The ribbon is from a judged craft show, You pick out one piece and during the show they come around a judge them. Worst show I've ever done. didn't sell a thing. good thing I won the ribbon and the $100 prize money in the wood working class :D
Another one of those pieces that I thought I had priced high enough to not sell :o
