I like epoxy tootsie roll sticks such as Mohawk's for repairs. They are a bit expensive. I have had a couple of sticks for almost 3 years, use them occasionally, and think they would still be good. I think I saw somewhere that the shelf life is one year, but, as most "shelf life" estimates, they may not reliable. Anybody have any problems with sticks several years old?

I just used some that I have had for a few years & it's still fine. But I got some from HD once that was clearly past because it was so hard & crumbly that I couldn't mix it.

I also have the Mohawk sticks and most are at least three years old, and some are probably even older. They all work fine. If you have any concerns, cut off a small piece, kneed it thoroughly and let it harden. If it does, the stick is fine.

Generally speaking, epoxy has a very long shelf life. As it ages, the resin tends to get more viscose, but warming it up a little thins it back out.
