I photo and document all stuff. This was back to another lifetime and didnt document. Sure there are some band photos others have. I worked in a music store. Bought a PA, Got to work doing live sound on the side of the job till one customer took me into a recording studio and I was blown away with the whole process and that ended live sound. I built a small studio and did that for some years then sold that gear and
bought six machines to get started.

The issue with recording then was the amount of gear you needed. You needed compressors, you needed an Aphex Aural Exciter, it just went on and on. Glad I got out when I did as people had half a mill in gear and now 10k in a computer or so and you can do all that. I loved mixing live. I still hear stuff the odd time where I think this or that is too high in the mix or too low or whatever but ears are out of tune to it all. Good ive worn hearing protection from shortly after I started with noisy machines.
