For anyone who lives in the Cincinnati area -
Steve Mickley - who works at Paxton Lumber is giving a FREE 3.5 hour class on finishing with shellac.
February 11th 9:30 to 1:00 at Paxton - 513-984-3480
I've met and talked with him several times and I can tell you he knows what he is talking about.

I've "known" Steve for awhile (from the WOOD Online forums and his articles in WOOD Magazine) and he is a very sharp fellow...and expert in finishing, especially of period stuff and Shaker. His web site (http://johnjacobmickley.net/Shop%20Pages/Woodshop.htm) has some wonderful information on finishing, especially shellac. (If you accidently end up on his furniture business page, just click on his wrist watch on the cover picture to return to the woodworker's resource pages)
