Box came in the mail today...
469590
was inside of 2 other cardboard boxes...followed the paper trail..
469591
and, down in the bottom of the box....
469592
3 planes..yet shipping weight was just 9 pounds?

Bring them up into the light...
469593
You see what happens when you leave 2 planes locked up in a box for too long..

Large plane is a Craftsman No. 3740 BL, aka ..Sargent No. 600.

The other 2 are by Foster, of Buffalo, NY. All 3 have AL bodies.

As for the wee one....Ain't he CUTE?

Christmas Exchange,, box was a part of the package, as well....

Tis the season :D

Maybe a few extra photos will help...these are not all that big..compared to..say a Stanley No. 18....
469754
The 18 is about an inch shorter...and twice the weight...it's lever cap weighs as much as the wee plane...
469756
I can can close my hand completely around the little guy....and my hands ain't huge, either...
469757
The big guy is a #1 KINSEY Model.....not enough room for anything more than FOSTER on the back porch for that little one....one other detail...
469758
That "bottle cap" is cast solid....not a steel stamping....(BTW: that ruler is a Starrett 12" No. 0601 )

Unable to locate much info about Foster, of Buffalo, NY......not even sure what to call that little plane, but, I'm sure there might be a model number, or name to look up...

"1 Kinsey" is a street address.
