Hi Gang,

I know, I know, I already posted the mini for this week.

I had asked Travis if it might be ok if I tried to turn a mini of the form he turned for his wife.

This is about the best I could see it. The ebony pedestal was about the hardest thing I have ever turned. Ebony just doesn't like to go this thin, at this point, just a touch with 1500g, and its a goner. So after six tries on the pedestal I finished it this evening and thought I would flash it up.

Thanks for a great form and a beautiful turning Travis, hope it looks ok.

Where do you get those big dimes? How do you fit them in your pockets? And do the cashiers give you funny looks when you try to use them at the store? Oh, the turning is nice. It sorta looks like something that Travis turned for his wife.:p I think the piece Travis turned was larger than yours, Bill.

Very kewel! And I agree with Travis...the bone really does emulate the masur birch beautifully and to scale.
