I guess it goes here. I built the bench in 04 and just made the cabinet this week. The cabinet is birch ply, padauk with cherry drawer fronts, all from leftovers in the shop. The drawers still need some tweaking yet.
Bush oil for the finish on the front.

Looks great Anthony! I like that cherry-padauk combo. I wouldn't have placed those to together in my mind, but it looks really sharp!

Thanks all! The padauk was due to the fact that I had enough 3/8 x 3/4 strips to face the ply and make the pulls, the cherry came from the only board with enough wood to do three drawers, I almost went with purpleheart for the drawers. Most of the other cabs in the shop are raw ply.

One question for all, the drawers are made from ply, should the insides be sealed??
