Makita LS 1019L / LS 1219L updated opinions...

I'm hoping to get some current opinions on either of these saws. I've been looking at them for a while. I was ready to buy one a year or 2 ago, but there were a few issues that I wasn't happy with (aluminum detent plate and an potential alignment issue in the slider). There was an older thread about these saws (and the Bosch) but I can't see how to send a message to that poster and ask them how their saw is now. I really like the space saving design and the other features are really nice. I have the Dewalt DWS779. It's nice but the foot print of that thing is nuts. My shop isn't the biggest so I'm trying to maximize the available space (aren't we all). Just trying to get some updated opinions and see if the reported issues are still cropping up. Thanks.

I’ve got a 1019 and it was perfect out of the box. It was one of the first ones and was a display - so I’m pretty sure its was gone over with a fine tooth comb at the factory before it was sent out.
