Another woodworker thought I was joking. I have found this a great solution for a cut off saw in my shop.

I see permanent chop saw stations with 16 feet of counter space - no thanks.

I can put this in a suitable position for the job at hand. I can fold it and lean it in a corner.

I can take it out to fix the fence. Recently built a garage for the John Deere - no power needed.

Late at night no noise. No fine dust in the air.

Works for me and I'm no total Neanderthal - cnc and all in my shop.

Nice way to get a lot of utility from a miter box.

I might just steal that idea!

I have the exact same miter box. Is the mobile base sturdy? It seems like it would rock back and forth in the direction of saw travel.

Not something I had a problem with - a little movement but cuts fine

Whoa, this is an idea I've been kicking around for a while! Just might have to do this now...

I like it! An 8 point saw would be nice, too.

I just checked on that stand, and it's marked down to 149, from 199.
