Needed stools for our puzzle table. A little oak and sugar pine.

468110 468111

Legs are about 7/8" x 3/4" Very light and very sturdy

Top is fastened with screws not quite tightened in slots so they are loose It's a nice floating effect with a function

Darn sideways pictures,,,,

Pine had a previous life as demonstrated by extra holes in the underside

Those look good. And solid. I'm curious how wide you made the tenons? Were they just 3/4" wide, or as wide as the flared ends? (Purely curious.)

I like that detail on the stretchers, Tom; adds some nice character and probably a whole bunch of rigidity.

I always make tenons as big as possible.

I like these. There was a discussion a bit ago, I don't remember who all was involved, that got into talking about corner treatments, edge treatments, round over like this versus chamfer with a plane versus barely break the corner with a little 220 grit paper.

On this project, I like the roundovers. I want to touch them.
