I was at Home depot the other day and saw glued up wood cutting board tops for sale. Maybe 5x2 feet and one inch thick. label said they were Acacia wood. I did not notice country of origin.
The wood seemed too light a color and much to light weight to me. When we got some wood from the neighbors cut down tree it was dark like walnut and the dry wood did not float in water.
