Finished this up today. Ready to test it. Not a work of art and hoping it is functional. TBD.

The F&F jig is extremely useful, I was using mine today.

Nice job! Looks like you covered all the bases.

I was researching these and i was surprised no one makes a high quality aluminum version.

Nice looking result! I made something similar that I use on the sliding attachment on my table saw. I have since added adjustable stops and scales (not shown in the photo).

Very nice! You will find F&F to be indispensable shop helpers for sure.

Eugene what did you use for the slot inserts? I have the same sliding table and wouldn't mind using inexpensive local parts for that purpose.

Mine is much less elaborate, but it is a great accessory. I use it quite a bit on my new slider. Earlier this week, I was making some tiny little drawer dividers and it made the job safe and quick.

Cool!

It is time to make another lighthouse and I've been timid trying to bevel rip the stock on the slider with the blade tilted toward the fence. Hoping this will work - safely.

FWIW, the lighthouse will go to UCF's Engineering Management Honor Society chapter.

David,

I used 1/2" HDPE from McMaster Carr. Probably could have used 1/4"

I tried using Ipe but it kept shape shifting on me.

Another issue I've been trying to understand is the slots widths are not consistent down the length of the slider nor are they exactly parallel. Either that or my $20 'iGuess' digital caliper needs replacing.
