$245 for all of it only thing I really needed was the bevel gauge and scrub plane.

It may have had a chunk taken out of it in a fall.

Many years ago there was a letter to the editor in FWW. It suggested squaring the toe & heel of planes.

that was my first thought too. both the toe and heel are cut so they must of been a bit clumsy.

Or as simple as trying to make it fit in the toolbox they already had.

Or lapped with good intentions, without spot working it to get it flat first.

Those bevels are nice users. I have three. The blade lock is about as good as it gets.

At one time..the shop did have a KK 7....that most of the rear deck had been trimmed down.....it was the same length as a No. 6 plane.....but the balance was all wrong.....all the weight was from the rear handle forward.....had an Ohio #0-6 that worked a LOT better....sold the KK 7...wasn't worth keeping around in the shop.
