Hi Creekers!

I was curious what you think a fair price would be for a Minimax FS41 Classic with Tersa head? Machine is 3-5 years old in good condition. No major mechanical issues.

New I think they go for around $7K delivered but hopefully someone knows for sure.

Thanks!

I paid $6495 delivered with the Xylent head. I believe the Tersa is a bit cheaper. It took about 6 months from when I ordered it last October.

Guy wanted $4,500 for a rusted 5 year old machine that was in storage and hadn’t been run in 3 years. There was no 240v on-site to test it and there were a few parts broken or missing. My impression of SCM is that parts are not cheap.

Don’t get me wrong, I love neglected machines if I can get a good price, but $2k off new doesn’t leave much room for broken parts, cost of moving it, and the unknown unknowns IMO.

While rust and a few broken parts can be easy to deal with, I use it also as an indicator of how well the owner treated and maintained their equipment.

It was a pass for me.
