Just received these Butternut boards from our newest sponsor Forest2Home. This will be my first time working with Butternut and I am looking forward to using most of this wood on an intarsia project. Butternut is not a local species here in my area.

I'm glad you have a new sponsor. My experience with butternut is that it looks nice but is hard to work with as it has tended to bow and twist dramatically when cut. Maybe the butternut I had just wasn't well handled in drying, I don't know. I made a few dulcimers from it years ago.
