I need to miter some 1" face frames to 3/4" finished end panels. I am considering ordering this cutter for my non-tilting spindle shaper https://www.toolstoday.com/v-8902-61306.html?ne_ppc_id=274604040&msclkid=63846268b4541596f9f50375a6c8acc2&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=NX_Shopping%20All%20Products%20Low%20 Bid&utm_term=4585444526036532&utm_content=All%20Products%20-%20Desktop (I would get the +/- 90 degree cutter but my table opening is 150 mm). Are there other similar cutters I should consider?

We sold the Garniga equivalent of that during my Italian days. Never personally used it but the concept is solid. Good that it has depth limiters.

The Guhdo looks the same as the amana.

CMT has a fixed 45 head though I'd go with the amana over the cmt.

I ordered the Amana cutter yesterday about 11 am and found it on my doorstep around 2 this afternoon. Tools Today (well, Tools Tomorrow) and McMaster Carr are unbelievable at getting things here in a timely fashion. The cutter seems well made and should solve my problem.

I plan to mill the acute bevel with this cutter and saw the obtuse one on the slider, then fold them up with packing tape. Typically cabinets like this have an inner box and a separate finished end panel mitered to the face frame stile. In this instance the stile is 7/8" wide so the end panels have to be folded up around the decks and stretchers, which will make things interesting. As my coworker Ron used to say, "I saw it in a cartoon once, I think I can do it."

Another wrinkle to this project is that four vanities have two finished ends as they will be installed one inch off the end wall. Not a problem for me, but imagine trying to clean that space. Architects... why I oughta...
