We bought a house with several tube sky lights. No idea on brand or model. We knew that one had the tube fallen off the roof portion. I can find no info on how they are supposed to be held up there. It is noticeably dimmer then the rest. Only a small hatch in a closet so I have not gone up yet to see.
Also they did not connect the kitchen vent pipes. that I can probably fix with a few screws and some mig wire.

PS: mig wire has replaced baling wire since they switched to plastic string for bales.

If they're the Solatube type, just self-tapping sheet metal screws and aluminum ducting tape. There is practically no weight to the tubing.

Yup, easy to reattach if you can get to it in the attic. Interesting how they work, the longer the tube the brighter it is. I have 7 or 8 in our house, and new visitors always ask why the lights are on.
