This was a fun project for two reasons. One it was to learn a new skill, making box joints. Two, it was inspired by need.
I have a basement shop with spiral stairs down to it. The other night when installing the Bench and coat rack (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=28866&highlight=bench) I found I had so many tools upstairs that it took me two to tree trips to take them all back to the shop. I decided I needed a tool box to carry things upstairs since I built the house myself (for the most part) and have many ongoing projects.

I assembled it to many times and chipped some of the fingers. Made a couple of other mistakes that are just part of the learning process. But it's functional and I learned a lot building. That makes is a sucess to me.
Just trying to decide on a finish. Leaning toward either BLO or shellac.
