Long story short, I triggered my SawStop on a Forrest 40 Tooth Woodworker II blade a few weeks ago. No flesh contact, just hit some metal.

I sent the blade back to Forrest for sharpening / repair, and unfortunately they told me that it wasn't repairable.

In the interim, I needed to get some work done, so I purchased a 48 tooth Forrest Woodworker II blade, 20deg face hook, 25deg ATB, as that's all that my local Woodcraft had in stock.

Is there any reason to replace the 40 tooth blade? I do have dedicated ripping blades.

Use what you have and decide over time if you feel the need for hte 40T blade.
