Was found today, while I was digging out a supply of Ash sticks for a Project..

Hmmm...slots are at 1/4" intervals..out to 5-1/2"....blade goes to 7-1/2". Does not look to have had any wood on the handle.
Didn't find any name logo on it either..
Any clues

I remember stuff like that in old “Popular “ magazines. There were a number of those ,all different but similar. Probably pics on Pinterest.

The slots are for guiding a pencil to mark a line parallel to the edge.
One of my Stanley squares was converted to such by a previous owner.

Hmmm, I wonder if that square is designed for metal fabrication? looks like the holes are about the size of those limestone markers.

Maybe metal mesh for showers. I looked for pics but didn’t find. If you have a stack of the POPULAR mags ,you can find them.
