I've seen several of his videos. This was a favorite. He builds a bridge over a creek running through his garden. He has some skills.

What, no boutique sash saw was available? He had to use a 3/8" bow saw? What a piker. And, oh my God, he's using sandpaper at the end. Didn't he know he should be able to get a No. 3 or No. 4 in there with a close-set cap iron? Really, who is this chump?

A fully stocked garage worth of tools and cant do what this guy does with a chisel, an old bench vice, and some homemade tools. Experience is more valuable than the tools

The layout on the block of wood was no mean feat either. A rather stark reminder that it's all about making marks on wood and removing wood up to the marks. What's left is a completed project.
I don't think Granpa Amu would have much trouble knocking out Shaker.
